Another Nigerian man killed in South Africa for drug trafficking
A Nigerian man of Igbo extraction, Mr. Tochukwu Nnadi, had been denied entry into the new year as he was brutally murdered by the South-African police for allegedly selling drugs.
Mr. Tochukwu popularly known as King, was hacked on his throat to death after he was arrested and handcuffed by the SA Interpol in the early hours of Friday. Reports had it that the victim's brother who was called to the horrible scene was trying to find out why his brother was killed in such a brutal fashion, only for the security forces to shoot him on the leg and quickly took him to custody without offering any explanation.

Buhari officially presented with Boko Haram black flag in Abuja
The Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari was on late Friday evening presented with the popular flag retrieved by the troops from the stronghold of Boko Haram sect, Sambisa forest last week. The controversial black flag with white arabic inscription and pictures of two rifles was handed over to the president by the theatre commander, operation Lafiya dole, Major Gen. Lucky Irabor, at the 2016 regimental dinner organized by the presidential brigades of guards in Abuja on Friday evening.
The president praised the efforts of the gallant soldiers who put their lives in line to make sure that the troubled north-east is liberated from the rampaging terrorist group who have held the government to ransom for sometime. He promised to do everything withing his power to help the troops discharge their duties and prayed to God to always give them victory whenever they are on national duty.

Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale has expressed optimism that he would recover from his injury set back and help his club overcome the club from Naples when the Champions league hostility resumes later in February 2017. The Welsh flying winger posted a pix of himself doing a workout in a gym. He assured the Madrid fans that he would be back in action to continue helping the club in the best way he can. The winger was missing in action in the club's triumphant trip to Japan earlier this month where they clinched their 5th world title.
CR7 turns down massive offer from China
Football super agent, Jorge Mendez, has revealed that his client, Cristiano Ronaldo, has rejected a great offer from the Chinese super league. The offer from an unnamed Chinese club was believed to be in the region of 100 million Euros annually, and his club Real Madrid would have pocketed 300 million Euros in the deal too.
Ronaldo's rejection of the deal has once again proven his loyalty to the Spanish club after he had earlier stated his intention to retire at the capital club. Real Madrid are currently on an amazing run of 38 matches unbeaten and tops the La-liga table albeit playing one game less than their closest rivals, FC Barcelona. Few weeks ago, Ronaldo and his Real teammates made another history in far away Japan where they won the World club cup on a record five times, making them the only club to have won the prestigious trophy on five occasions. Ronaldo was recently crowned the world best footballer for the fourth time in his career.

Lagos cemetery where dead bodies stick out from the grave
It was indeed a horrible sight last week when a TV presenter cum journalist, Aderibigbe Adeola Gentle soul who works with Galaxy Television, visited a cemetery at Imota in Lagos state and shared some disturbing pictures of decomposing dead bodies sticking out different parts at Imota cemetery.
In his words: "I have the privilege of being the first journalist to visit the cemetery of horror. I hope these pictures will go viral and force the government to find an urgent solution before it causes outbreak of an epidemic". Pics below.
Another NPFL star shot dead
Gombe United defence stalwart-Uzama Douglas was on Thursday shot dead by cultists in Benin city, Edo state capital. The left back was shot in the ever bubbling capital city and was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctor pronounced him dead on arrival.
The player was still enjoying his holiday after the concluded football season and was yet to team up with his club ahead of the new season. His premier league club side Gombe United expressed shock at the sad news and prayed that his killers would be brought to book in due time. The club also prayed God to grant the player eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Uzama is the second NPFL star to be murdered on cold blood, few months after Shooting stars' Izu was shot dead by the men of the Nigerian security forces after he was mistaken for a member of cult group which had been terrorizing his part of the state [Rivers]for sometimes.

It was an electrifying scenario at the popular Ariaria Market in Aba, Abia state, Biafra land
, as the mother of the incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and Director of Radio Biafra London, went shopping. People from different sections of the market rushed to greet and embrace the mother of the popular Biafra activist who has become the most talked about prisoner of conscience in our time.
Some of the curious traders took out their smart phones and snapped some pictures as well as made some videos. Kanu's mother on her own was very elated by the kind of love and praise the people showered on her and her brave son Kanu. Ex-Governor Ibori released from U.K prison
Erstwhile Governor of Delta state, Chief James Ibori has been freed from U.K prison, after successfully serving out his jail term. It was however unclear as to whether he would return to Nigeria immediately because of matters bothering on the confiscation of his assets which worth tens of millions of US dollars, which was not resolved.
The former Delta state number one citizen was jailed in 2012 for offenses of money laundering by South-Wark Crown court.

Kaduna women protest half-naked over killings of their children
Women in Kaduna state have taken to the street in large number, protesting against the killings of their children, thereby disrupting an important security meeting by the governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai.
The furious women were simply on rampage in Kafanchan area in Jama Local Government Area of Kaduna state, protesting half-naked against the government over the gruesome killing of their children by suspected herdsmen.
Few weeks ago, the governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai had stated that he had to pay the rampaging herdsmen to stop them from slaughtering defenseless villagers in Southern Kaduna.
The last stroke that eventually broke the camel's back was when some soldiers in the state allegedly killed some youths who had taken to the street to protest against the killing of innocent lives in Southern Kaduna by the barbaric herdsmen. Thereby prompting the inconsolable aggrieved women to storm the Jama Local Government secretariat on bare breasts, disrupting an ongoing security meeting being chaired by the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
The governor assured them that he would do everything within his power to see to it that all the perpetrators of such barbaric acts would be brought to book.

Tension, as a headless Corpse of a naked woman is found in Enugu

Pandemonium broke out in an unnamed Enugu community, when an unidentified headless unclad woman was found in a neighborhood. The victim's lifeless body was found by one member of the community who quickly raised alarm.
The members of the community quickly informed the police who later came and removed the headless corpse of the naked woman. This was believed to have been perpetrated by the rampaging ritual killers as the woman's private part has also been removed.

Real Madrid Super star has been a very successful footballer in his time. The Portuguese and his eternal rival Lionel Messi, have dominated football for a very long time now, their domination means that only two of them have shared the last nine editions of the Ballon D'or, with Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi scooping the award on five occasions, while Ronaldo has won on four occasions, having won the most recent one.
With the continued existence of the two super stars in the soccer pitch, their doesn't seem to be any chance that a different player would emerge as the world best player, at least not anytime soon.
Police Raids another Baby factory in Ogun state. Arrests Operator
A 47 year-old female Pastor at the Divine Yard Deliverance Ministry in Iyana Iyesi, Ota, Ogun State, one Mrs. Udoh, has been arrested by the police for allegedly running a baby factory in her Church. The suspect was said to have sold over 64 babies before she was nabbed last Sunday by the operatives from the Lagos state police command who acted on a tip-off.
She was arrested alongside a nurse who assisted in the childbirths at the suspect's church. COAL CITY TV NEWS learned that the pastor usually refer complicated cases to the nurse whose clinic El-Shaddai Hospital is located a few meters away from the Church.
It was also revealed that one of the ladies in the story, called Angela, whose younger sister, a 17 years old girl called Good news Akpan, gave birth in the clinic and the suspect was shopping for potential buyers for her baby before information got to the police and they swooped on her.
The 47 years old Pastor who hails from Akwa-ibom State, refuted the allegation, saying she uses the church as a maternity home to assist pregnant church members for a token. In her words; "I have been a pastor for 13 years, I only assist my members during childbirths. I take delivery of 13 to 15 babies every year and i have handled over 60 cases so far".
On her own side of the story, Good news Akpan, the 17 years old young mother whose baby was allegedly about to be sold by the suspect, revealed that she was unaware of the claim that her baby was about to be sold. She told newsmen that she became pregnant in her home state of Akwa-ibom and non of her boyfriends agreed to take the responsibility of the pregnancy and she had to drop out of secondary school and come to Lagos to stay with her elder sister Angela, who brought her to the suspect's church right from when the pregnancy was still at four months. She said she had no plan of selling her baby even though she was not ready to be a mother at this age, especially judging by the fact that she is still single. She added that she plan to go back and complete her secondary education after nursing her baby to a certain age.
Anambra Beauty Queen emerges Miss Nigeria 2016
Chioma Stephanie Obiadi, from Anambra state, has been declared the winner of Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant 2016. She saw off stiff challenges from 36 other beauty queens who contested in the pageant. The event took place at Eko Hotel Convention Suits Lagos Nigeria on Monday night. It was the 40th edition of the annual beauty contest, and the new winner replaces the outgoing Leesi Peter who won the competition last year.
The new Miss Nigeria went home with brand new SUV, one year serviced apartment, all expense paid trip to France, a six months skills acquisition training in any institution of her choice, and a five million Naira cash prize. Chioma Stephanie Obiadi will also represent Nigeria at next year's Miss universe beauty pageant.

Suspect in Police net over Okada rider's murder
A middle-aged man Mr. Kayode Agboola has been arrested for allegedly killing a commercial motorcycle rider [Okada man], Akinola Emmanuel in Ajowa Akoko, Akoko North-West Local Government Area in Ondo State. The suspect, who is a plumber in Ikaramu Akoko hired the victim to take him to a nearby village but allegedly killed him and dumped his body in the bush and also disappeared with his motorcycle.
The suspect who was arrested by the Ekiti state command of the Nigerian security and Civil Defence corps[NSCDC], in Ado-Ekiti where he allegedly confessed to have stolen the motorcycle. A resident of Ajowa-Akoko, Michael, said the suspect should not be allowed to go scot-free.
The suspect is now by and large at the police custody, the world is waiting for the police to do their job. he stated.
The police spokesman for Ondo State command Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident, he added that the case was yet to be transferred. He further revealed that the suspect and the victim had been customers for a long time. But on December 4th, 2016, he hired the deceased to take him on his[decease] motorcycle to his [suspect] farm where he murdered him on cold blood and ran away with his motorcycle to Ado-Ekiti where he was arrested by the men of the NSCDC in Ekiti State.
Real Madrid and Ronaldo bags another world record in Japan
Real Madrid football club has won the 2016 Club World Cup in Japan. Cristiano Ronaldo smashed a hat-trick as the Spanish giants survived a colossal scare to beat Japan's Kashima Antlers 4-2 and lifted the prestigious trophy on Sunday.
A double from Gaku Shibasaki briefly threatened one of football's greatest upsets after Karim Benzema had given Real an early lead in Yokohama. However, Ronaldo equalized from the spot kick before pouncing twice in extra time to give the European champions their second world title in 3 years, and 5th in total, making them the only club to have won the trophy in the whole world.
Cristiano Ronaldo also dropped his own record as he became the only player to score a hat-trick in the finals in the long history of such competition. He was also awarded the golden ball as the most valuable player of the tournament, this had come in less than one week after he claimed his fourth Ballon D'or award.
"What a bloody hell! What a game! Ronaldo yelled breathlessly after the final whistle. We had to suffer, but that's what finals are all about. People always expect more of Cristiano Ronaldo. He added, speaking to himself in the third person.
With the win, Real Madrid has extended their unbeaten streak to 37 matches across all competitions this season. It had been a great year for Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese captain had won the Champions league, the European super cup, the club world cup and the European championship with his country Portugal.
Real Madrid are currently topping the La liga table despite playing a game less due to their involvement in the recently concluded World club cup competition. They have also qualified for the next stage of both the Champions league and the Copa del rey.
