Orji Kalu visits Nnamdi Kanu's parents
Former Governor of Abia state, and richest Igbo man alive, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has paid a courtesy visit to parents and siblings of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, at the palace of Sir I.O Kanu[The Egwu Ugwu 11 of Afara-ukwu ancient city in Ibeku. This has come not up to two months after he visited the illegally detained Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu.
Although details of the visit was not disclosed to the public, but early feelers suggests that the billionaire businessman who recently joined the ruling party [APC] is trying to persuade the IPOB leader and his parents as well as his numerous followers to drop the agitation and prepare to negotiate with the Federal government in order for the incarcerated freedom fighter to regain his freedom.
It would be recalled that after his visit to the IPOB leader over a month ago, the business mogul made it clear that the IPOB leader has given him permission to negotiate on his behalf. He added that Kanu and Federal Government would negotiate his freedom, and he has commenced the early prerequisites to enhance a smooth dialogue with the Federal Government.
No matter what may be the case, some truths will be known after the court hearing which comes up 10th of January 2017. The IPOB leader will reappear in court for the continuation of legal procedures on the seemingly trumped up charges of treasonable felony and terrorism, which was leveled against him by the Buhari led Federal Government.
Kanu and his supporters are agitating to restore the Biafran sovereign state, which was reintegrated back into the Nigerian federation after the pulsating tragic civil war.
