Zimbabwean President locks up gay couple, won't release them until one of them is confirmed pregnant

Controversial and outspoken long serving president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe has reportedly locked up a gay couple who were allegedly planning to wed. The president made it clear that the gay couples would not be freed unless a report from a certified physician proves that one of the couples is pregnant.

Zimbabwe is one of many African countries where homosexuality of any kind is not tolerated. From the indication of the president's comment, it is apparent that the two gay partners are doomed to serve a life sentence since it is biologically impossible for a man to get pregnant.
