AMOSUN,LAWMAKERS REACH TRUCE OVER COMMISIONER'S MISCONDUCT
Ogun state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and members of the state House of Assembly have reached truce on the alleged misconduct by the commissioner for works and infrastructure, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite. It was revealed that the governor and the lawmakers held a secret meeting at the weekend to also sort out issues ahead of the presentation of the 2017 appropriation bill.
Former president Olusegun Obasanjo made a surprise visit at the venue of the parley, though insiders said it was not connected to the legislative executive feud.
The House had last Thursday passed a vote of no confidence in Adegbite following a shouting match he had with the deputy speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, when the commissioner honoured a summons by the legislature over the poor state of rural roads across the state.
