MAN SETS SELF ON FIRE OUT OF FRUSTRATION

A 37-year old Okada rider in Ekiti state has reportedly killed himself out of frustration, citing severe hardship in the country. The victim whose name was given as Bukola, doused himself with petrol in the glaring eyes of his colleagues who had queued up and awaited their turns, and set himself ablaze. All efforts made by his shell-shocked colleagues to put off the blazing fire proved abortive as they watched helplessly as their colleague died painfully. One of the Okada riders who happens to be the victim's close friend told our reporter that the victim's wife had delivered a baby boy last month and that Bukola had been struggling to offset the hospital bill since last month. He further stated that Bukola was a barber, he only joined the Okada union after his shop was demolished, rendering him almost hopeless. since he joined the okada union he was struggling to adapt to the new job, and he was not making the money he expected. That informed his decision to end his own life in such a bizarre fashion.
